The Lifespan Brief is an independent publication covering the science, medicine, technology and business of living longer and living better.
Our purpose
Longevity research moves quickly, and the distance between an exciting laboratory result and a useful human treatment is often misunderstood. We explain what a study found, how strong the evidence is, what remains uncertain and why the work matters.
What we cover
Our reporting spans geroscience, age-related disease, clinical trials, biotechnology, artificial intelligence, lifestyle evidence and the companies financing the field. We distinguish research in cells and animals from evidence in people, and we do not treat biomarkers as proof of longer or healthier life.
Our standard
Articles are written as original explanatory reporting and link to primary research, trial registries and company disclosures whenever possible. Evidence-level labels help readers understand whether a claim is early research, promising, supported by strong evidence or expert analysis.
The Lifespan Brief provides information, not medical or investment advice. Health decisions should be made with a qualified clinician, and investment decisions require independent due diligence.
